Meet Sam

My interest in coaching started through my own love of sport and training, I wanted to better understand how effective programming, consistency, and good practice can positively impact both physical performance and confidence. This interest led to me joining the fitness industry in 2015 and I’ve been doing it full time ever since!

Building A Better Training Environment

In 2021, I opened my own gym with the aim of creating an environment built around the training principles I came to value most: evidence-based training, long-term progression, and a supportive coaching culture. From the beginning, my goal was to provide a space where people could train with purpose, build confidence, and work towards their goals in a realistic and sustainable way over time together.

Continuing To Develop As A Coach

Working within that environment has continued to shape my approach as a coach. It reinforced the importance of individualising training, building strong relationships with clients, and recognising that progress looks different for everyone. It also led me to pursue a master’s degree in Strength & Conditioning, bringing higher-level performance principles back into my coaching and the wider community around me every day.

Understanding Modern Fitness Culture

Alongside coaching, I’ve developed a strong interest in the wider direction of the fitness industry, particularly the influence of social media, misinformation, and unrealistic expectations within modern fitness culture. Those conversations have continued to shape my perspective and reinforced the importance of honest, evidence-based coaching that helps people train with confidence, consistency, and better long-term understanding.
